LifeLock Review and Giveaway

LifeLock

Identity theft is a crime that can happen to anyone, no matter their age.     Identity thieves can cause damage that ends up costing you both time and money.    All they need is your name, address, date of birth, social security number and/or credit card number to leave you with a mess to clean up.     It can take months or even years to undo all of the damage.  I can tell you from experience that this is a nightmare to deal with.    LifeLock is a  service that helps you keep your identity safe from thieves so that you won’t have to deal with all of the headaches of identity theft.

How does LifeLock work?

  • LifeLock monitors your identity.
  • LifeLock scans for identity threats.
  • LifeLock responds to identity theft.
  •  LifeLock helps you track your credit score.
  • LifeLock guarantees their services.  If you become the victim of identity theft while a member of LifeLock they will spend up to $1 million to help you recover.
LifeLock helps protect your personal information using data surveillance and a member service that is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
I really wish that we would have had LifeLock about 10 years ago.   Hubby became the victim of identity theft and it has been a nightmare to deal with.    We have been trying to fight it on our own and it hasn’t been easy.    He has spent countless hours on the phone with the credit bureaus, credit card companies and collection agencies.   Doing simple things like buying a car or renting an apartment have been difficult for us because of this identity theft.  It’s embarrassing to get turned down for an apartment rental because of your credit especially when it’s not your fault.   Luckily we have pretty much cleaned up everything on our own by now.   Dealing with identity theft is not something that I would wish upon anyone.  I learned that we need to be careful about who we give information out to.   I won’t give the boys’ social security numbers out to anyone including family members because it’s not worth the risk.     I definitely feel that LifeLock is worth the membership fee to keep your information safe.
