Meet Jennifer {The mom behind Mom2ZQB}

Jennifer {Mom2ZQB}

I am a stay at home mom of three boys who relies on caffeine to make it through my days!    I love being a stay at home mom but some days I can’t believe how crazy things can get.  I love having three kids of the same gender even with their  totally different personalities.  Zander my oldest is 9 and he is book smart.  He’d rather read about how things work than listening to someone tell him.  He gets that from me. He is enjoying soccer but, had been thinking of branching out to baseball and or football.  Quentin is 7 and he’s our soccer star. He has a natural sports ability that I will be encouraging as he grows no matter which sport(s) he chooses to play.  He is also starting to show a huge interest in learning as much as he can about everything.   Why is still his favorite question to ask.  Brody is 5 and he’s great at destruction.

Zack is my husband who works hard in the IT field.  He works very hard so I can stay home with our boys.  I love and appreciate that he agreed with me that it’s important for me to be home with our boys.    He is working worked hard to turn me into a technology junkie like him.  We have a love for phones, computers, and tablets of all types.  With how much I’m on the go I rely on my tablets and phone to keep me connected and get my work done more than I ever thought I would.

I volunteer for American Youth Soccer Organization Region 49.  I have been a volunteer for over 13 years and have held multiple positions from coach to Child and Volunteer Protection Advocate.  I played AYSO while growing up and I love that I can give back by donating my time now.  My boys are currently playing in AYSO.  Seeing the kids having a good time and smiling on game days makes it worth all of the hard work. I always say that with AYSO I get paid in smiles and high fives and I couldn’t ask for more!  Currently I hold the board position of equipment director and I have to say it’s my favorite. I order the uniforms and all other necessary equipment for the teams to play.  Sometimes it can be tough, but lets face it shopping is always fun.  My boys love getting to pick out their uniforms each year!

In my spare time I love to bake, work on all kinds of craft projects, read and travel.     I am very much the type of person who wants to try many things at least once. Many of my crafting endeavors have been self-taught learning by trial and error.  When Zander turned 3 he wanted a Lightning McQueen cake and I decided I was going to teach my self to decorate it.   Since then I have been working on my techniques.  I love to scrap but I am so far behind on my boys’ books that I don’t even know where to start.  I started one for my brother for Christmas 3 years ago and it’s still not done.  I gave it to him half done and promised to finish it.  He appreciated more than I thought he would so I need to get it finished. I am currently attempting to sew my first dress.  Once again I just decided to give it a try and it’s been a tough learning process.  I did make a diaper bag over two years ago and it held up so I know I  did something right.  I recently made a purse that is holding up to all the abuse err I mean use pretty well.   You never know what project I’m going to try next!
